Profile:

Tobias Wieczorek has studied theology at the universities of Bonn and Oxford. As a student, he received a scholarship from the Evangelisches Studienwerk Villigst. He finished his studies in Spring 2014.

Since April 2014 T. Wieczorek has been working as a research assistant in the Department for New Testament, first with Prof. Dr. M. Wolter and since April 2017 with Prof. Dr. H. Löhr.

He is writing a dissertation on the “Non-Believers in the Pauline Letters”, focusing on the use and function of the designation “ἄπιστοι” in early Christian literature and particularly the Pauline letters.

His research interests include the Pauline letters and the history of early Christianity. He is also the chief editor of the Bonn Exegetical Lexicon (BEL).
