New publication from the ACO project
The first volume of the annotated translation of the Acts of the 3rd Ecumenical Council has just been published! The volume was edited by Prof. Dr. Wolfram Kinzig and Dr. Thomas Brüggemann and edited by Dr. Thomas Brüggemann and Dr. Sabine Lütkemeyer with the assistance of Dr. Julia Beier. The project 'The Acts of the Council of Ephesus 431: Translation, Introduction, Commentary and Index', from which this volume originates, is being funded by the DFG as part of a long-term project. Two further volumes will follow in 2025 and 2026.
Funding approval for „Religion Digital“
Although video games represent a significant part of contemporary (popular) culture and are often permeated by religious elements - as shown by the example of Assassin's Creed or BioShock Infinite - they receive almost no attention in contemporary theology. This is where the “Religion Digital” project comes in by making digital media the subject and vehicle of academic reflection.
