Dates and Deadlines

Important Guidelines

1) Deadlines for the registration for examinations and for the submission of written work are firm. If the deadline is not adhered to, subsequent registration or subsequent submission of the work is not possible.

2) The deadlines and dates mentioned here apply to all exams and events that are the responsibility of Evang.-Theol. Faculty. Examinations and events in subjects or modules that are the responsibility of other faculties are subject to the Examination Office responsible for the exam. Information about which Examination Office is responsible can be obtained from the Protestant Theology Examination Office.

Examination and Registration Dates

Module Exams in the form of written and oral exams:

-there are usually two examination phases available in the semester in which the module is offered

-the first is immediately following the lecture period

-the second is at the end of the semester

-when the module is not offered, only the first exam period is available

-registration is via BASIS (there are separate registration deadlines for each phase; the exact dates and deadlines are found under corresponding semesters below)

Module Exams in the form of term papers

-registration is via BASIS at any time

-the start date and topic are chosen with the examiner

-the date it is turned in (deadline) depends upon the date the topic was chosen

-the semester for which the term paper is registered depends on the date of submission, not the start date
