Eva Maria Hille is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of (Social) Ethics at the University of Bonn.
She completed her PhD as part of one of Germany’s most interdisciplinary research projects, the Collaborative Research Centre 1483 EmpkinS. For her doctoral thesis, she investigated biases in the lifecycle of Artificial Intelligence in the healthcare sector, as well as their interactions with vulnerability, power and justice. In her research, she combines normative and empirical approaches and derives governance recommendations on this foundation.
Alongside her research, Eva Maria Hille is particularly committed to communicating and making science accessible, for example through public workshops, science slams, and events for children and youth. As co-founder of the ‘Feminist AI’ network at the University of Bonn, she advocates for greater visibility of women* in science.
