As part of Dr. Judith Filitz's lecture series “How it all began: The Book of Genesis,” Professor Römer will give a lecture on “What is life like in the diaspora? The image of Egypt in the story of Joseph.” Thanks to his many years of studying biblical texts, which are characterized by a combination of exegetical and historical-archaeological perspectives, he is an internationally recognized expert in the field of Pentateuch research.
The lecture will take place on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 10 a.m. in Lecture Hall XIII in the main university building. Everyone interested is warmly invited to attend.
