Welcome to Intercultural Theology

Department of Intercultural Theology

The field of Intercultural Theology includes research on questions and topics relating to the intersections of religion, culture, politics, and global society. It can engage these topics within the paradigms of ecumenical, interreligious, or religious studies research.

The Protestant Theological Faculty is committed to formalizing and strengthening the profile of Intercultural Theology in Bonn. The first stage of development – networking and discernment – will run until 2024 and is led by Dr. Matthew Ryan Robinson via work on the Global Network for Excellence in Theology (G_NET).
