Ethics Poetry Slam ‘Values for the Future’ 2026
What values are important to you for the future?
Your voice counts!
Together with GermanDream and Haus der Geschichte Bonn, we are organising the first Ethics Poetry Slam “Future Values” 2026. Do you enjoy writing, are you interested in issues facing the future, and would you like to get to know the University of Bonn? Then take part in the “Future Values” Poetry Slam. Apply individually or as a team (max. 4 people) with a poetry slam on values that are important to you for the future. We want to provide a platform for young voices. There won’t be a winner at our poetry slam in November, as our main aim is for everyone to be heard – not for individual groups to compete against one another.
Registration:
If you’re interested, please email us (nfaust@uni-bonn.de) and upload your slam performance as a text, along with the completed registration form, to our application portal by 6 September 2026. The password for the application portal is: Let’sSlam! You can download the registration form here. You can find a flyer with all the details about the event here. Note: The event will be in German.

Young voices. A big stage. Values for the future.
At the first Ethics Poetry Slam, ‘Values for the Future’, ten selected teams of young people will present their thoughts on the following questions:
How do we want to live together tomorrow?
What values do we need?
What do young people want to change?
To prepare, all teams will meet for the first time in Bonn on November 2: We’ll discuss the slams you’ve written yourselves and your values for the future, visit the University of Bonn, and attend a professional coaching session at the Pantheon. That evening, we’ll also go together to the poetry slam “Raus mit der Sprache.”
After several weeks of preparation, your teams will then take to the stage at the Haus der Geschichte on 17 November.
Admission is free. The Department of Social Ethics, GermanDream and the Haus der Geschichte welcome anyone interested. Free tickets can be reserved in advance on the Haus der Geschichte website.
