Lisa M. Granberg
PhD Student
My PhD project investigates the role of the Abrahamic religions in Sweden with the aim of deepening and expanding the interreligious dialogue I initiated during my Master’s studies at Uppsala University. The research is situated at the Chair of Practical Theology within the Faculty of Protestant Theology at the University of Bonn.
Methodologically, I work with Grounded Theory and develop my own approach under the concept of Comparative Lived Theology. Building on my Master’s thesis, I use qualitative research interviews as the main empirical foundation for this study.

Main Interest
My main interests in practical theology concern the intersection between epistemology, lived theology and comparative theology. I call this interception comparative lived theology. A combination of two established theories, comparative lived theology assisted by ground theory aims to further the understanding of results generated from qualitative research interviews. My main focus of study of this bransch of practical theology is the experiences of practicing religious leaders of the Abrahamic faith in Sweden. A model I hope can be used elsewhere in the world too.
