Zafar Ali
PhD student
Zafar Ali is a PhD student at the Chair of Practical Theology (Prof. Dr. Sabrina Müller), Faculty of Protestant Theology, University of Bonn. His doctoral research investigates Women’s Lived Religious Agency in Sufi Shrine Practices in Sindh: An Empirical Feminist Practical-Theological and Postcolonial Study in Interreligious Perspective. The project builds on his previous work in interreligious dialogue and seeks to deepen and expand these perspectives through an empirical approach.
Methodologically, the study is grounded in qualitative research and employs Grounded Theory. Within this framework, Zafar develops the concept of Comparative Lived Theology, which brings together perspectives from lived theology and comparative theology in order to analyse and interpret empirical data across religious traditions.
